Tour Plan
Day 1: Touring Aswan
Explore Agilkia Island and the Philae Temple, a shrine to both Isis and Hathor. This grand temple was established over older ruins by Ptolemy Philadelphus II and originally by Nectanebo I.
Visit a Nubian Village via motorboat, enjoying the hospitality in a local house, trying Nubian cuisine, and absorbing the energy of the colorful homes. The day ends with a drive across the River Nile to your hotel in Aswan.
Day 2: The Majestic Abu Simbel Temple Complex
Depart at around 3:30 AM for Abu Simbel Temple, located 230 km away. This ancient marvel, carved in the mountainside in the 13th century BC during Pharaoh Ramesses II's reign, serves as a monument to him and Queen Nefertari.
After the construction of the High Dam and the subsequent submergence under Lake Nasser, UNESCO and the Egyptian government relocated it to an artificial hill.
On the way back to Aswan, visit the High Dam, an engineering feat built between 1960 and 1970, standing at a height of 111 meters.
